     There are some great whitewater spots on Dead River - South Branch, and let's not forget Quill Pond Brook which is a stream that you may come across during your stay. Have a good hiking adventure along the Bemis Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Dead River - South Branch. The amount of rain that falls at Dill Pond is close to the national average; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures  
   at Dill Pond through the long summer days are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Dill Pond.
While you're here at Dill Pond you can take a hike along the Bigelow Range Trail, and you'll discover a striking lake called Quill Pond. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Dill Pond. Hiking along the Piazza
 
               Rock Trail is splendid fun; Dill Pond is a good site to visit for more than one day, Black Brook Cove Campground is a good site to camp nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. Very picturesque scenery and good skiing is what you get at Saddleback, and enjoy a round of golf at Evergreen Golf Club & Golf School. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not take a look at Saddleback Lake in the vicinity of Dill Pond, and you can stay the night at Black Arrow Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. An out of the ordinary thing to explore in close proximity to Dill Pond is Flagg Dam, and skiing at Black Mountain is one of those things you just should do.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....
