You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Black Mountain if you're here; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Piazza Rock Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Black Arrow Lodge is a brilliant spot to camp, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Dead River - South Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Near       Dill Pond you hit upon the Bigelow Range Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and golf can be played at Evergreen Golf Club & Golf School. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Dill Pond, and the night is a little colder of course, commonly in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 20's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Dill Pond temperatures plunge to the-10's. Dill Pond gets a typical amount of rain; the wettest                  month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Dead River - South Branch, and camping is available at Black Brook Cove Campground. The Bemis Trail is a brilliant hiking trail right next door to Dill Pond, and don't forget to take a nice little tour to Quill Pond Brook. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Dill Pond.
