     You could also have a look at Berry Pond if you're here at Dexter Pond; it's nearby; in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy River. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Lost Valley is a great site to do that; Dexter Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Augusta West Lakeside Resort is a pleasant local campground. During the summer months at Dexter Pond temperatures are typically in the 70's with  
   nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Dexter Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. A quick journey to Gardner Brook in the neighborhood of Dexter Pond is a nice idea. There's so much to do here at Dexter Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Brook Campground is a brilliant location for that.
Dexter Pond is a wet location that gets lots of precipitation; the
 
               month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. Everybody close by loves skiing at Titcomb, and perhaps you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Apple Valley Lake is just a very short distance away. The peak of Morrison Heights can be distinguished from Dexter Pond, and Maple Hill Farm B & B Inn is a wonderful spot to get some rest.
A delightful place for whitewater paddling next to Dexter Pond is Cobbosseecontee Stream, and Dexter Pond is not far at all from Lewiston-Auburn. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Dexter Pond you can play some golf at Springbrook Golf Club, and the Appalachian National Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Dexter Pond. Do stop by Apple Valley Lake Dam since you're here at Dexter Pond, and if you need a spot to stay Winthrop Motel is a wonderful choice.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Dexter Pond.

Fun short spot, We made it a overnight trip and had a good old time. There needs to be a bunch of water in this stream to even make it doable. on 4/20 we were scooting-ass over many shallow spots in our yaks. Fun drops with laziness inbetween make for a good time especially for the novice....
