     The beauty of Depot Pond attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Depot Pond it's a delightful idea to stop at Great Basin, and you can stay the night at Roaring Brook Campground. There are wonderful sites to discover along the Chimney Pond Trail; Katahdin Inn is a great site to get some rest. While you're here at Depot Pond, you could also take a look at beautiful Pamola Pond, and if you come at the right time of  
   year, Nesowadnehunk Stream River offers some fine whitewater.
Depot Pond gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; during July this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Don't leave Depot Pond without first going for a hike along the Dudley Trail, and you're sure to run into some wonderful folks from Bangor here. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Chimney Peak is delightful and can be seen from Depot
 
               Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sandy Stream.
Summer at Depot Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's, and the overnight is somewhat chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Depot Pond. Chimney Pond Campground is a delightful campground nearby, and Dry Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the South Branch Trail.
