     Deer Pond is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Sally Mountain Trail, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Saddleback. A stunning lake like Rush Pond in the neighborhood of Deer Pond is a good location to explore, and Sugarloaf USA is a very popular ski area close by. Any time is a great time at Deer Pond if you have a thing about the outdoors. Deer Pond is a wonderful place to visit for more than  
   one day, Black Arrow Lodge is a wonderful place to camp nearby; why not take a refreshing hike along the Fire Warden Trail.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Deer Pond; Bigelow Range Trail is a fine local trail; a glorious spot for whitewater paddling is Parlin Pond Stream. Stay the night at King & Bartlett Lake Camp, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cupsuptic River. Summer at Deer Pond comes with high temperatures
 
               in the 70's, and the overnight is slightly chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Deer Pond temperatures descend to the-10's.
This lake is so wonderful. Wilson Lake Inn is a great place to get some rest. From a rainfall point of view Deer Pond is a rather common spot; the month with most of the rain is July, and February meanwhile is the driest month. At Deer Pond you can spot Camera Hill; Long Pond is a great lake nearby.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....

LARGEST ADVANCED SKIING COMPLEX IN THE EAST
The new chair provides easy access to what was already the largest self-contained advanced skiing complex in the East. The black diamond terrain is in a bowl that is separate from the rest of the ski area. Three advanced trails were added in the bowl this summer. The new lift services 12 Top-to-Bottom advanced skiing runs.
NOVICES & INTERMEDIATES CAN SKI FROM THE SUMMIT -- FOR THE FIRST TIME
The new quad chairlift also allows novice and intermediate skiers to ski from the summit for the first time. Novices can now enjoy the panoramic views and ski along the 4000 ft. ridge amongst rime-frosted conifers before descending to the base via the 3.1 mile America and Hudson Highway trails. Intermediates can ski Tri-Color and Green Weaver, a one mile loop, back to the Kennebago Chair.
