The Island Pond Trail offers hiking at its best; some of the water close by flows, like Godfrey Brook. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Fox Brook Trail; lakes are such serene places, why not go to Second Lake. The yearly precipitation here at Deer Pond is about average; through August this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months       is February.
