A striking lake like Haycock Pond in close proximity to Deer Lake is a glorious location to pop by, and a good site to camp here at Deer Lake is Maple Grove Campground. Much rainfall falls at Deer Lake; November is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Deer Lake. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. The wintertime brings       highs down to the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Deer Lake. Yeah, come here to Deer Lake for a great time. Nicatous Stream is a perfect whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Deer Lake, and you'll hit upon a delightful lake called Bracey Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Allen Brook is a lovely stream that is worth visiting; there are tremendous spots to look at along the Eagle Lake Trail. You can run the rapids of Narraguagus River close to Deer Lake,                  and if you want to take a look at some exciting stuff, take a look at The Oxbow. Why not camp at Cold Spring Campground since you're here at Deer Lake, and if you need a spot to stay White Birches Country Club is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful.
