Camping at Northern Outdoors is always a brilliant experience, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Moxie Stream. During the warm days of summer at Deer Bog highs are mostly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Deer Bog are in the 0's. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the vicinity of Deer Bog.

| | Go for a hike on the Big Squaw Mountain Trail, and after a long day outdoors Bingham Motor Inn is a nice spot to spend a night or two. Camping is available at Enchanted Outfitters & Lodge, and Deer Bog is not the only spot nearby, Decker Ponds is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. some magnificent whitewater, needless to say you could also take a look at Sunday Pond since you're here; it's not far at all.

Eaton Mountain

The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
