Many people like to go to Deep Pond. The yearly rain here at Deep Pond is about average; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Deep Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Chimney Pond Campground is a good local campground; on a great day you can take a hike along the Wassataquoik Tote Road. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Katahdin Inn is a good choice,

| | and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nesowadnehunk Stream. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff next to Deep Pond. There's so much to do here at Deep Pond that you need to camp here for a while, South Branch Pond Campground is a fine location for that, and a quick journey to Mullen Brook is absolutely a perfect idea. Russell Mountain from Deep Pond. All through the long summer days here at Deep Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's;
night lows during the winter for Deep Pond tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Nesowadnehunk Stream River is a great whitewater spot in the vicinity of Deep Pond. Ledge Falls is a tremendous local attraction, and
going for a hike on the South Branch Trail is always a great adventure. You're probably into lakes, Upper South Branch Pond is one of those close by, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Howe.
