Katahdin Inn is a splendid place to get some rest; you'll most likely meet some folks from Bangor here. If you come at the right time of year, Wassataquoik Stream offers some glorious whitewater; a good place to camp here at Deasey Ponds is Hidden Springs Campground. Deasey Ponds is right by the Telos Tote Road; why not camp at Allagash Gateway Campsite while you're here at Deasey Ponds.       There are some fine whitewater spots on Penobscot River - East Branch; do take a hike on the Sand Bank Trail. Deasey Ponds is a good place of common precipitation; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. Throughout the summer months at Deasey Ponds highs are usually in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; overnight                  lows during the winter for Deasey Ponds tend to be in the 0's. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place!
