There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Wilson Stream, and a good location to camp here at Dead River Reservoir is Riverbend Campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Nezinscot River offers some brilliant whitewater, and lakes are such peaceful sites,

Why not camp at East Livermore Campgrounds while you're here at Dead River Reservoir, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Dead River Reservoir is not far at all from Lewiston-Auburn, and Fairview Hill is pretty and can be seen from here.
