Why not camp at Sunset Point Campground since you're here at Dead Pond, and don’t forget to visit Sam Hill Barrens while you're here at Dead Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Sunkhaze Campground is a delightful location to camp, and after a long day outdoors Bar Harbor Inn is a great place to spend a night or two. Clifford Lake
 | 12 miles away Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) .
