You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Saddleback since you're here, needless to say you could also take a look at Baker Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Davis Pond, so little time. King and Bartlett Mountain is pretty and can be made out from Davis Pond, and going for a hike on the Bigelow Range Trail is always a wonderful adventure. This lake is so wonderful. | | for a hike along the Sally Mountain Trail. There are pleasant places to look at along the Fire Warden Trail. There's so much to do here at Davis Pond that you need to camp here for a while, King & Bartlett Lake Camp is a tremendous spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. Bugeye Pond
 | 15 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
