     You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Saddleback since you're here, needless to say you could also take a look at Baker Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Davis Pond, so little time. King and Bartlett Mountain is pretty and can be made out from Davis Pond, and going for a hike on the Bigelow Range Trail is always a wonderful adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Davis Pond without first going  
   for a hike along the Sally Mountain Trail. There are pleasant places to look at along the Fire Warden Trail. There's so much to do here at Davis Pond that you need to camp here for a while, King & Bartlett Lake Camp is a tremendous spot for that.
This lake is so wonderful. Very picturesque scenery and great skiing is what you get at Sugarloaf USA, and hey, Baker Stream is a great local stream. At Davis Pond through the summertime highs are in the 70's. Throughout
 
               the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Davis Pond are in the-10's. Parlin Pond Stream is a wonderful whitewater spot in the vicinity of Davis Pond. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Davis Pond has to offer, you can camp at Black Arrow Lodge.
Looking for something near Davis Pond? Lost Pond is around here; in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Spencer Stream. The amount of rainfall that falls at Davis Pond is close to the national average; July is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with the least moisture.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....
