    It's always fun to stop by Davis Pond. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Davis Pond. There's whitewater on Nesowadnehunk Stream for all you thrill seekers; dry warm beds await you at Katahdin Inn. Hiking along the Howe is perfect fun, and if you came for an overnight stay South Branch Pond Campground is a good spot to camp.
Davis Pond is right by the Northwest Basin Trail, and Klondike Pond is a great lake close by.
 
   Through the long summer days at Davis Pond highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Davis Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A short tour to Caribou Spring is always worthwhile, and there are other sites here than Davis Pond, for example Lake Cowles.

               great outdoors, just come on down to Davis Pond. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Saddle Trail, and you might also want to pay a visit to Witherle Ravine while you're here at Davis Pond. Interesting geology is available here; Table Land is in the neighborhood of Davis Pond, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Nesowadnehunk Stream River. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Hamlin Peak is easily seen from Davis Pond, and a magnificent site like North Basin here at Davis Pond is too brilliant to miss.
The yearly rainfall here at Davis Pond is about average; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest of the months is February. Camping is available at Chimney Pond Campground, and why not take a look at nearby Annis Brook while you're here at Davis Pond.
