    Why not stop by Davis Pond if you're passing through these parts. A great site like North Basin here at Davis Pond is too brilliant to miss; if the weather is wonderful, you acquire a glorious vista of Hamlin Peak from Davis Pond. The Northwest Basin Trail is a perfect hiking trail in the neighborhood of Davis Pond; get covered with water paddling on Nesowadnehunk Stream. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Annis Brook is a stream  
   you can take a look at while you're here, and going for a hike on the Saddle Trail is always a perfect adventure.
This spot rules, just look at all the amusing stuff to do right next door to Davis Pond. You must unquestionably go to Table Land if you're here at Davis Pond, and whitewater paddling is nice on Nesowadnehunk Stream River. There's so much to do here at Davis Pond that you need to camp here for a while, South Branch Pond Campground is a magnificent
 
               location for that, and Witherle Ravine is in the neighborhood, and is a good spot.
Through the summer here at Davis Pond, high temperatures typically reach the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Davis Pond dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Davis Pond has to offer, you can camp at Chimney Pond Campground, and if you need a location to stay Katahdin Inn is a good choice. Davis Pond is a good location of common rainfall; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
Don't leave Davis Pond without first paying a visit to Caribou Spring, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Howe.
