Go to Davis Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. The Bald Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you need a spot to stay University Inn Academic Suites is a splendid choice. Camping is available at Red Barn RV Park. During your spree to Davis Pond you'll meet some people from Bangor for sure, and Davis Pond is right by the Peaked Mountain Trail.
Just can't get enough of Davis Pond. You can never get enough of the glorious skiing at New Hermon Mountain,

From a precipitation point of view Davis Pond is a rather normal spot; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest month of the year is February. Why not camp at Parks Pond Campground while you're here at Davis Pond, and you can run the rapids of Penobscot River. This lake is so wonderful. Stillwater River is a tremendous whitewater spot near Davis Pond; hiking along
the Old Gold Mine Trail is brilliant fun. A delightful nearby hotel is Best Western Black Bear Inn & Conference Center; Davis Pond is not the only site close by, Holbrook Pond is a close by lake.
This lake is so wonderful. A quick
tour to Kidder Brook near Davis Pond is a delightful idea, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Lucerne Golf Course.
