Visit Oyster Creek since you're here at Damariscotta Lake; the summit of Hopkins Hill can be seen from Damariscotta Lake. That right there is a load already, but it goes on; Damariscotta Lake has it all. Damariscotta Lake is right by the Hockomock Nature Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Damariscotta River. Dry warm beds await you at Linekin Bay Resort; there are some great whitewater spots on Pemaquid       River. If you came to camp Damariscotta River Campground is a magnificent location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Damariscotta Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Duck Puddle Campground is a splendid place for that; if you need a location to stay Flagship Inn is a fine choice. Damariscotta Lake is a pretty wet place frequently with a great deal of rainfall; November is the wettest month with most rain; February on                  the other hand is the driest. During the months of summer here at Damariscotta Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Damariscotta Lake temperatures fall to the 0's.
