Dead River is a good local stream, and this is a popular site for folks from Lewiston-Auburn. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Travel Inn is a wonderful choice, and next to Custer Pond you come across a golf course called Springbrook Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Maine Campground Owners Association is a nice place to camp, and Sleeper Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. Here at Custer
Pond you can spot Sabattus Mountain; if you've had enough of Custer Pond, Sabattus Pond is nearby.
Throughout the long summer days at Custer Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Custer Pond descend into the 10's. Why not camp at Allen Pond Campground while you're here at Custer

Pond, obviously you could also go to Sabattus Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. Custer Pond is a quite wet place frequently with a great deal of precipitation; November is when you get the most rain here; September on the other hand is the driest.
Drift down the rapids of Cathance River in a kayak. If only every site had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great planet it would be. Do schedule some time to go to Marr Point close to Custer Pond if you have a chance, and paddling on Chandler Brook is so much fun. A fine nearby hotel is Super 8 Lewiston Auburn Area; the slopes of Lost Valley are so inviting nobody can resist.

Fun short spot, We made it a overnight trip and had a good old time. There needs to be a bunch of water in this stream to even make it doable. on 4/20 we were scooting-ass over many shallow spots in our yaks. Fun drops with laziness inbetween make for a good time especially for the novice....
