A magnificent site for whitewater paddling near Cushman Pond is Nezinscot River - West Branch, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Black Mountain is rather near. This lake is so wonderful. On a beautiful day you obtain a panorama of Cushman Hill from Cushman Pond. There's so much to do here at Cushman Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Wekeela is a good place for that.
