     Porter Brook is right next door to Cupsuptic Pond and is always a delight to take a look at; if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Morrell Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene places, why not visit Lower Black Pond near Cupsuptic Pond, and if you came for an overnight stay Cupsuptic Campground is a fine spot to camp. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Magalloway River, and North Camps is a wonderful local  
   campground.
Cupsuptic Pond regularly gets a good deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Cupsuptic Pond. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Arnold Trail, and there are other spots here than Cupsuptic Pond, for example White Cap Pond. Head up to Saddleback and strap some skis to your feet; going
 
               for a hike along the Arnold Pond Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood.
Through the summer months, highs generally are in the 70's at Cupsuptic Pond. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Cupsuptic Pond.

Drove up on the 14th of October, 1 day before season closed. First time in 35 years of going was the pond complete smooth, not a ripple. Between my friend and I, we must have caught 30-40 fish both on dry & wet flies, only keeping 4 for breakfast the next morning. It was a good mix of newly stocked (white bellies) and either hold overs or natives (deep rich colors). It was a wonderful experience!...

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....
