Crystal Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Be careful coming to Crystal Pond, you might not ever wanna return back home again. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Lead Mountain Trail; there are some delightful whitewater spots on Nicatous Stream. Don't leave Crystal Pond without first going for a hike along the Eagle Lake Trail; why not camp at Maple Grove Campground while you're here at Crystal Pond. Whitewater

| | paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Passadumkeag River; a nice nearby hotel is White Birches Country Club. Why not pop by close by Eagle Brook since you're here at Crystal Pond, and Cold Spring Campground is a great local campground. Lots of rain falls at Crystal Pond; most of the rain falls through November, and the driest month is February. The warmest time of the year at Crystal Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. | |

For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Crystal Pond descend into the 0's.
