If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sandy River, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Titcomb. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Crowell Pond. Crowell Pond is not the only location nearby, Davis Pond is a nearby lake, and on a lovely day you obtain a great view of Old Bluff Hill from Crowell Pond. During the warm months at Crowell       Pond temperatures are typically in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Crowell Pond fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Crowell Pond, you could take a look at McGurdy Stream; if you've had enough of Crowell Pond, Egypt Pond is nearby. Wilson Stream has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot                  close by, and a splendid location to camp here at Crowell Pond is Nor-40 Campground. Dry warm beds await you at Wilson Lake Inn, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Why not camp at Five Seasons Campground while you're here at Crowell Pond; Comfort Inn & Suites is a nice spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
