     There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Moose River - South Branch, and getting to Massachusetts Bog Stream from Crosby Pond is simple. This lake is so wonderful. A swamp like Lower Hathan Bog near Crosby Pond has lots of interesting things to see; Louise Mountain is a peak you can make out from Crosby Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Cupsuptic Campground is a nice place to do that; going for a hike on the Arnold Trail is always a fine adventure.  
   Saddleback is a very popular ski area in close proximity; a wonderful lake like Mud Pond is a wonderful place to stop at.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Crosby Pond a wet place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is frequently the driest month. Summer at Crosby Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while
 
               the cold winter nights at Crosby Pond are in the-10's. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things close to Crosby Pond. There's so much to do here at Crosby Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a perfect place for that; you can go for a hike on the Arnold Pond Trail.
An out of the ordinary thing to take a look at next to Crosby Pond is Arnold Pond Dam, and if you come at the right time of year, Dead River - North Branch offers some wonderful whitewater. Lakes are such serene spots, why not have a look at Horseshoe Pond in the vicinity of Crosby Pond; delightful hiking is available along the Morrell Trail.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....
