     A great site for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Crockett Pond is Kingsbury Stream; since you're here you can take a hike along the Intake Trail. Having a nice time at Crockett Pond is painless. Crockett Pond is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, Balsam woods Campground is a glorious location to camp nearby; if you get bored of Crockett Pond you could also go to close by Hedgehog Pond. Crockett Pond gets a good deal of water; the month  
   with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is February.
Get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of Piscataquis River - West Branch, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail. Summertime highs at Crockett Pond generally tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is rather colder of course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's
 
               to Crockett Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Crockett Pond has to offer, you can camp at Breezy Acres, and a lake nearby is Spectacle Pond.
Hit the slopes at Eaton Mountain close by; dry warm beds await you at Bingham Motor Inn.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.

You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.

We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
