Crockett Pond is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, Balsam woods Campground is a glorious location to camp nearby; if you get bored of Crockett Pond you could also go to close by Hedgehog Pond. Crockett Pond gets a good deal of water; the month       with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is February. Get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of Piscataquis River - West Branch, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail. Summertime highs at Crockett Pond generally tend to be in the 70's, and the overnight is rather colder of course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's                  to Crockett Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
