Best Western Black Bear Inn & Conference Center is a nice location to get some rest, and you'll meet a lot of people from Bangor here. At Crocker Pond throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's; the overnight is somewhat cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are commonly in the 20's with temperatures at Crocker Pond dipping down       into the 0's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Greenwood Acres Campground, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Union River - West Branch. Yep, outdoors fun things to do are in fact bountiful here at Crocker Pond. Camping at Parks Pond Campground is always a tremendous experience, and if you need a place to stay University Inn Academic Suites is a glorious choice. Crocker Pond gets a lot of water; the month with most of                  the rain is November while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The Old Gold Mine Trail is a splendid hiking trail near Crocker Pond, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sunkhaze Stream. You could also go to Pickerel Pond since you're here at Crocker Pond; it's close by, and you get a great view of Madden Hill from here. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Bald Mountain Trail is always a perfect adventure. Nearby lakes?
