A tremendous close by hotel is Howard Johnson Hotel, and if you need a place to stay The Elms Bed and Breakfast is a good choice. Get dripping wet paddling on Crooked River, and Camp Nashoba North is a nice local campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Crescent Lake a wet place; November is the month that gets the most rain while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Crescent       Lake you always meet someone from Portland-South Portland, and if you came for an overnight stay Kokatosi Campground is a delightful place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. You can catch a sight of Nubble Hill from Crescent Lake; why not head up to Shawnee Peak and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. So much amusing stuff in close proximity to Crescent Lake, completely phenomenal. Edwards Brook is a perfect site to stop at, and the                  best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Lost Valley. High temperatures at Crescent Lake all through the summer are in the 70's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Crescent Lake are in the 0's.
