This lake is so wonderful. Cow Brook is a perfect local stream; Pokey Dam is not far at all from Crawford Lake. Crawford Lake is a wet place that gets lots of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November; June on the other hand is the driest. For the period of the months       of summer at Crawford Lake highs are generally in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Crawford Lake temperatures fall to the 0's. Big Lake Campground is a great local campground, and a fine place for whitewater paddling is East Machias River. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Crawford Lake.
