Cranberry Pond gets a normal amount of yearly rainfall; most of the snow falls during November while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Gotta ski! Saddleback is a perfect location to do that, and don't forget to take a splendid little journey to Stoney Brook. The slopes of Sugarloaf USA are so inviting noone can resist, and get wet paddling on Dead       River - South Branch. Any time is a wonderful time at Cranberry Pond if you fancy the outdoors. There are good sites to explore along the Fire Warden Trail; drift down the rapids of Spencer Stream in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. Cranberry Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Crocker Mountain Cirque Campground is a brilliant local campground, and going for a hike on the Bigelow Range Trail is always a fine adventure. Go for a hike on the Piazza                  Rock Trail. Camping at Black Arrow Lodge is always a glorious experience; the peak of Cranberry Peak can be distinguished from Cranberry Pond. All through the summer months, highs mostly are in the 70's at Cranberry Pond. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's.
