This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Fire Warden Trail; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Saddleback. The amount of rainfall that falls at Cranberry Pond is close to the national average; most of the snow falls during November while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A pretty       lake like Jones Pond close to Cranberry Pond is a pleasant site to explore; hiking is a popular thing to do around Cranberry Pond; Piazza Rock Trail is a pleasant local trail. Summertime highs at Cranberry Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Cranberry Pond nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. Get wet paddling on Dead River - South Branch, and Crocker Mountain Cirque Campground is a perfect campground nearby.
