If you come at the right time of year, St. Croix Stream offers some tremendous whitewater. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Cranberry Pond has to offer, you can camp at Bear Mountain Lodge. The Old Dam Tote Road is a pleasant hiking trail near Cranberry Pond, and a lake close by is Squapan Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Squa       Pan Stream, and Cranberry Pond is not the only place close by, Hall Pond is a close by lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Cranberry Pond while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Cranberry Pond are in the-10's. From a rainfall point of view Cranberry Pond is a quite common site; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while                  February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Getting to North Branch Blackwater River from Cranberry Pond is uncomplicated. There's so much to do here at Cranberry Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Libby's Sporting Camps is a brilliant spot for that. Going for a hike on the Kennedy Tote Road is always a glorious adventure. But wait, there's more to do close to Cranberry Pond.
