     Camping at South Branch Pond Campground is always a magnificent experience, and if the weather is beautiful, you get a magnificent sight of Hamlin Peak from Lake Cowles. The yearly precipitation here at Lake Cowles is about average; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Since you're here at Lake Cowles why not visit Witherle Ravine, and Lake Cowles is right by the Saddle Trail. This lake  
   is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Nesowadnehunk Stream River for all you adrenaline people; Northwest Basin is a great place.
This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene places, why not explore Davis Pond close to Lake Cowles; the Northwest Basin Trail offers hiking at its best. High temperatures at Lake Cowles all through the summer months are in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs through
 
               the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Lake Cowles are in the-10's. Don't forget to take a glorious little journey to Annis Brook, and Lake Cowles is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Chimney Pond Campground is a tremendous local campground.
So much amusing stuff near Lake Cowles, simply astonishing. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Nesowadnehunk Stream; why not take a refreshing hike along the Howe. You'll come across a pretty lake called Klondike Pond near Lake Cowles It's always perfect to pop by Caribou Spring. Don't leave Lake Cowles without first checking out Table Land, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Inn & Suites.
Yep, outdoors cool things to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Lake Cowles.
