This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Cow Pond, you'll find Ragged Lake which is a striking lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Cow Pond; Gulf Hagas Trail is a perfect local trail. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Pleasant River - West Branch. There's so much to do here at Cow Pond that       you need to camp here for a while, Casey's Spencer Bay Campground is a glorious place for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a great choice, and pleasant hiking is available along the Number Four Mountain Trail. Having a pleasant time at Cow Pond is easy. Stay the night at Frost Pond Campground, and why not go to Ragged Lake Dam while you're here. Econo Lodge Inn & Suites is a great place to get some rest,                  and if you come at the right time of year, Roach River offers some pleasant whitewater. There are other spots here than Cow Pond, for example Bear Pond, and do explore Bear Brook since you're here at Cow Pond. All through the warm months highs here at Cow Pond reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Cow Pond night low temperatures all through the winter are in the-10's.
