If you are traveling by, why not stop by Cow Pond. There's whitewater on Roach River for all you adrenaline people; Cow Pond is not the only location nearby, Ragged Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Frost Pond Campground if you're here at Cow Pond; the skiing at Big Squaw is glorious.
You can run the rapids of Pleasant River - West Branch in the vicinity of Cow Pond; there are fine spots to discover along the Gulf Hagas Trail.

| | This lake is so wonderful. Ragged Lake Dam is not far at all from Cow Pond, and if you came for an overnight stay Casey's Spencer Bay Campground is a nice place to camp. Getting to Bear Brook from Cow Pond is painless, and dry warm beds await you at Katahdin Inn.

who don’t like to have fun. After a long day outdoors Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a good location to spend a night or two, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Big Spencer Mountain Trail.

Pond if you're here at Cow Pond; it's close by, and going for a hike on the Number Four Mountain Trail is always a magnificent adventure.
