County Road Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, My Brothers Place is a great local campground, and there's some attention-grabbing stuff to see at Drews Lake Dam near County Road Lake. Going for a hike along the Potters Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on B Stream. County Road Lake is a good       place of common rain; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. If you need a site to stay Scottish Inns Houlton is a glorious choice, and if you're here, you could go to Baxter Brook. Gould Pond is a glorious lake next to County Road Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Mattawamkeag River - East Branch offers some splendid whitewater. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining                  stuff right next door to County Road Lake. Shiretown Motor Inn is a nice site to get some rest, and County Road Lake is right by the Pierce Tote Road. This lake is so wonderful. Bigrock is a perfect local ski area; hiking along the Kennedy Tote Road is great fun. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to County Road Lake while night lows are typically in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's while County Road Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's.
