Cotton Pond is a wet spot that gets lots of rainfall; most of the rain falls during November, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Cotton Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Mic Mac Cove Camp Ground is a wonderful location for that, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Cotton Pond; Mount Megunticook Trail is a fine local trail.       You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. There are other locations here than Cotton Pond, for example Hobbs Pond, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Camden is rather near. Float down the rapids of St. George River in a kayak, and Cotton Pond is not far at all from Rockland. One of the governing highlights of the surroundings of Cotton Pond is Hatchet Mountain, also Fish Pond Dam is worth going to while you're here. Dry warm beds await                  you at Strawberry Hill Seaside Inn; you can stay the night at Alford Lake Camp. You definitely have to fancy Cotton Pond. During the long summer days at Cotton Pond temperatures are usually in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Cotton Pond through the wintertime mostly descend into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes?
