     Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Kingsbury Stream; Lake Como is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Skowhegan/Canaan KOA is a perfect local campground. Throughout the days of summer at Lake Como temperatures are typically in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Como descend into the-10's. This  
   lake is so wonderful. A good site to camp here at Lake Como is K O A Kampgrounds, and Church Brook is near Lake Como and is always a joy to take a look at.
Lake Como gets lots of water; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The view of Devils Head from Lake Como is wonderful, and if you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a tremendous choice. Mainstream Pond is a fine lake in the
 
               vicinity of Lake Como; there's whitewater on Sebasticook River for all you adrenaline junkies.
Be careful coming to Lake Como, you might not ever want to return home again. Why not pop by Halfway Point also if you're here, and there are other places here than Lake Como, for example Great Moose Lake. Eaton Mountain has perfect slopes and a friendly staff, and dry warm beds await you at Pittsfield Motor Inn.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
