It's always fun to stop by Lake Como. Summer at Lake Como comes with high temperatures in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Lake Como. Halfway Point is next to Lake Como and is a pleasant spot to visit; Lake Como is fine enough to spend more than a day at, K O A Kampgrounds is a fine local campground. You can run the rapids of Kingsbury Stream

| | next to Lake Como; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Eaton Mountain. There's whitewater on Sebasticook River for all you thrill seekers, and Comfort Inn & Suites is a glorious site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. You could also visit Great Moose Lake since you're here at Lake Como; it's nearby, and here at Lake Como you can catch a sight of Devils Head. This lake is so wonderful. with a large amount of rain; most of the rain falls during July; February meanwhile is the driest month. If only every spot had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great world it would be. Some of the water close by flows,
like Church Brook, and probably you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Mainstream Pond is just a very short distance away. If you need a site to stay Pittsfield Motor Inn is a nice choice. There's so much to do here at Lake Como that you need to camp here for a while, Skowhegan/Canaan KOA is a great place for that.

Eaton Mountain

The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends. The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
