Rollins Hill is uncomplicated to spot from Collins Pond; a good close by hotel is The Elms Bed and Breakfast. Nearby lakes? Sure, Tarkill Pond is near Collins Pond; Portland/Westbrook Super 8 Motel is a splendid location to get some rest. What would winter be without some skiing at Lost Valley; golf can be played       at Frye Island Town Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Baker Brook near Collins Pond is a good idea, and if you came for an overnight stay Highland Lake Park Camping and Cottages is a great place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Collins Pond you get some pleasant water scenery at Mill Pond Dam, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Crooked River. Just can't get enough                  of Collins Pond. While you're here at Collins Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Portland-South Portland, and why not camp at Adventure Camp while you're here at Collins Pond. A trip to nearby Brown Cove is very relaxing, and if you've had enough of Collins Pond, Mill Pond is nearby. A large amount of rain falls at Collins Pond; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
