A visit to Cold Brook is always a good idea. Spencer Stream has a good whitewater paddling spot close by, and you can stay the night at Deer Farms Camps and Campground. The annual precipitation here at Cold Brook is about average; the month with most of the snow is November, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Bigelow Range Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. There's

| | so much to do here at Cold Brook that you need to camp here for a while, Crocker Mountain Cirque Campground is a splendid place for that. Through the months of summer at Cold Brook temperatures are commonly in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. and the snow is good at Saddleback. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Carrabasset, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Arnolds Trail. Looking for something

Pond is a nearby lake, and the top of Little Bigelow Mountain is easily seen from Cold Brook. Have a wonderful hiking adventure along the Fire Warden Trail, and not far from Cold Brook you obtain some nice water scenery at Gold Brook Dam.
