A quick spree to Kimball Brook close to Coburn Pond is a splendid idea; get yourself into a kayak and hit Penobscot River - South Branch. You're perhaps into lakes, Mud Pond is one of those close by, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Bald Mountain Trail.
