     A quick spree to Kimball Brook close to Coburn Pond is a splendid idea; get yourself into a kayak and hit Penobscot River - South Branch. You're perhaps into lakes, Mud Pond is one of those close by, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Bald Mountain Trail. Stay the night at Moose River Campground, and hiking along the Alder Brook Trail is good fun. High temperatures at Coburn Pond through the summertime are in the 70's while night lows are commonly  
   in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Coburn Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Coburn Pond is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Jackman Landing Campground is a great spot to camp nearby, and do take a hike on the Sally Mountain Trail. The slopes of Sugarloaf USA are so inviting nobody can resist. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Coburn Pond; most of the rain
 
               falls through July, and February is the month with the least moisture.
