Sure, Hutchinson Pond is just a very short distance away. If the weather is lovely, you acquire a wonderful sight of Meadow Hill from Cobbosseecontee Lake. There's so much to do here at Cobbosseecontee Lake that you need to camp here for a while, The Birches Campground is a delightful location  
   for that.
Bog Brook flows through this neighborhood; the Appalachian National Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best. Cobbosseecontee Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; during the month of November you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Cobbosseecontee Lake is near Cobbosseecontee Lake Dam which is a scenic site definitely worth stopping at, and Maple Hill
 
               Farm B & B Inn is a good place to get some rest.
At Cobbosseecontee Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Cobbosseecontee Lake are in the 0's. Robbins Point is in the neighborhood and always perfect to pop by; the good folks of Augusta-Waterville like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful. Cobbosseecontee Stream has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby, and of course, this is a splendid region for folks who like lakes, Little Jimmie Pond is a lake close by.
Having a splendid time at Cobbosseecontee Lake is uncomplicated. A magnificent place close to Cobbosseecontee Lake is Packards Ledge, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge & Suites.

Fun short spot, We made it a overnight trip and had a good old time. There needs to be a bunch of water in this stream to even make it doable. on 4/20 we were scooting-ass over many shallow spots in our yaks. Fun drops with laziness inbetween make for a good time especially for the novice....

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
