My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) . Hunting in that area was, should I say, productive . A lot of precipitation falls at Clifford Lake; most of the rain falls during November, and June meanwhile is the driest month. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Old Stream; if you're looking for a nice spree, Roosevelt Campobello International Park is relatively       near. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Grand Lake Stream; a lake close by is Carloe Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Big Lake Campground is a fine campground nearby, and at Clifford Dam near Clifford Lake there are some interesting things to see. Any time is a nice time at Clifford Lake if you go for the outdoors. Take a little spree to Carloe Brook while you're here at Clifford Lake.                  For the period of the warmest time of the year highs here at Clifford Lake reach the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's.
