Lakes are pleasant; Plissey Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Churchill Lake. From a precipitation point of view Churchill Lake is a pretty common spot; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at Churchill Lake through the warm months are in the 70's. For       the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 10's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Churchill Lake temperatures descend to the-10's. Aroostook River Camping and Recreation is a delightful local campground, and Salmon Brook is a magnificent whitewater spot nearby.
