    The beauty of Chunney Pond is reason enough to stop by. Sandy Stream has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Chunney Pond is right by the Dudley Trail. If you love the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Chunney Pond. A perfect place to explore right next door to Chunney Pond is York Valley, and hiking along the Saddle Trail is wonderful fun. Lots of people from Bangor come to Chunney Pond, and camping at Chimney Pond Campground is always a pleasant  
   experience.
No need to travel far to have a look at out of the ordinary stuff like Table Land; Katahdin Inn is a tremendous spot to get some rest. During the days of summer here at Chunney Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Chunney Pond all through the winter ordinarily sink into the-10's.
In case you don’t
 
               have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nesowadnehunk Stream River, and Great Basin is a great site to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Caribou Spring is a pretty location to have a look at while you're at Chunney Pond, and do take a hike on the Cathedral Trail. An average amount of rain falls at Chunney Pond; the wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most while February is ordinarily the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. Here at Chunney Pond you can distinguish Baxter Peak, and camping is available at Roaring Brook Campground.
