A magnificent location for whitewater paddling near Chunney Pond is Nesowadnehunk Stream River; you can distinguish Baxter Peak from Chunney Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Chunney Pond; Cathedral Trail is a splendid local trail, and Sandy Stream is a good whitewater spot       close by. There's delightful hiking along the Dudley Trail; a spree to Great Basin revives the spirit. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Chunney Pond is peerless!
