Sandy Stream has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Chunney Pond is right by the Dudley Trail. If you love the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Chunney Pond. A perfect place to explore right next door to Chunney Pond is York Valley, and hiking along the Saddle Trail is wonderful fun. Lots of people from Bangor come to Chunney Pond, and camping at Chimney Pond Campground is always a pleasant       experience. No need to travel far to have a look at out of the ordinary stuff like Table Land; Katahdin Inn is a tremendous spot to get some rest. During the days of summer here at Chunney Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Chunney Pond all through the winter ordinarily sink into the-10's.
