For the period of the months of summer at Chittenden Pond temperatures are usually in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Chittenden Pond temperatures dip to the-10's. The Morrell Trail is a nice hiking trail in the neighborhood of Chittenden Pond, and Chittenden       Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, King & Bartlett Lake Camp is a great local campground. You can see Farm Hill from Chittenden Pond; dry warm beds await you at Wilson Lake Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Sugarloaf USA, and Hurricane Pond is a nice lake close by. A wonderful lake like Douglas Pond in close proximity to Chittenden Pond is a fine spot to check out; getting to Hurricane Brook from Chittenden Pond                  is uncomplicated. Saddleback is a good local ski area, and get soaked paddling on Cupsuptic River. Chittenden Pond is a good site of common rain; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is perfect here at Chittenden Pond, you can go for a hike along the Fire Warden Trail, and if you came to camp Black Arrow Lodge is a fine site to do that. Chittenden Pond in fact is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise.
