     If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cupsuptic River, and Farm Hill is clearly visible from Chittenden Pond. Really magnificent skiing awaits you at Sugarloaf USA; why not take a refreshing hike along the Morrell Trail. A wonderful place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Chittenden Pond is Parlin Pond Stream; obviously, this is a magnificent neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Everett Pond is  
   a lake in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Black Arrow Lodge; you can never get enough of the good skiing at Saddleback.
Good hiking is available along the Bigelow Range Trail. Lakes are wonderful; Little Jim Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Chittenden Pond. Any time is a magnificent time at Chittenden Pond if you go for the outdoors. Why not camp at King & Bartlett Lake Camp if you're here at Chittenden Pond; if you
 
               need a location to stay Herbert Grand Hotel is a good choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Chittenden Pond; Fire Warden Trail is a fine local trail; while you're here, you could take a look at Hurricane Brook. Throughout the summer months, highs mostly are in the 70's at Chittenden Pond with overnight lows in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Chittenden Pond tend to be in the-10's. From a rain point of view Chittenden Pond is a rather common site; July is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is February.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....

NEW RENTAL AND RETAIL SHOPS
Saddleback will now operate the rental and retail shops in the base lodge that were previously operated by a lessee. This season the rental shop will have a new fleet of rental skis, boards, boots, bindings and poles. The retail shop will have a new inventory of clothing and accessories.
