Summertime highs at China Lake generally tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at China Lake are in the 0's. Do stop at Kennebec River Reservoir in close proximity to China Lake, it's a stunning lake, and get drenched       paddling on Sebasticook River. On a pretty day you get a view of Mayflower Hill from China Lake, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Waterville Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two. China Lake gets a common amount of annual rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting China Lake from Augusta-Waterville, you won't be the only one.                  This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Wesserunsett Stream, and Messalonskee Stream Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could pop by. Just can't get enough of China Lake. Fish Brook is a pretty stream that is worth checking out; Comfort Inn & Suites is a delightful location to get some rest.
