Chickawaukie Pond Dam is worth checking out since you're here, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Mount Battie Trail. Here at Chickawaukie Pond there are plenty of people from Rockland; going for a hike along the Ragged Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Rockland Golf Club is a nice       way to kill some time, and on a pretty day you can stop by Laite Memorial Beach. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Chickawaukie Pond has to offer, you can camp at Camden Hills RV Resort, and Bear Hill is gorgeous and can be observed from here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Captain Lindsey House Inn is a delightful choice, and get dripping wet paddling on Oyster River. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are in fact                  plentiful here at Chickawaukie Pond. A day at stunning Lucia Beach near Chickawaukie Pond is a wonderful thing to do, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Ducktrap River. So much fun stuff in the neighborhood of Chickawaukie Pond, absolutely phenomenal. Why not go to Crockett Point also if you're here; you're in all probability hooked on lakes, Maces Pond is one of those close by. At Chickawaukie Pond through the summer highs are in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Chickawaukie Pond temperatures sink to the 10's. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Camden while you're here; a glorious close by hotel is Glen Cove Motel. Stay the night at Meguniticook By The Sea Campground; on a nice day you can take a hike along the Mount Megunticook Trail.
