     Maine has many beautiful lakes and Chase Ponds is one of them. And that's not all you can do here at Chase Ponds. Chase Ponds is right by the Round Trail. There's so much to do here at Chase Ponds that you need to camp here for a while, Pelletier's Campground is a perfect spot for that, and get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Big Brook River. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Chase Ponds, you could also explore scenic Togue  
   Pond, and there's wonderful hiking along the Fox Brook Trail.
The Island Pond Trail offers hiking at its best, and do stop by Beaver Tail Pond, it's a charming lake. Chase Ponds is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Little Black Check Point is a wonderful local campground, and a pleasant location for whitewater paddling is Fish River. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Chase Ponds, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime
 
               brings highs down to the 10's while the cold winter nights at Chase Ponds are in the-10's.
Chase Ponds gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest.
