At Rock Dam near Chandler Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see; Chandler Lake is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Homestead Lodge is a perfect place to camp nearby. The amount of precipitation that falls at Chandler Lake is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is July; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. The Mooseleuk       Tote Road offers hiking at its best; get drenched paddling on Machias River. Chandler Mountain is simple to spot from Chandler Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Chandler Lake. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Millinocket Stream, and you should undeniably pop by pretty Gilman Beach since you're here. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Chandler Lake; Round Trail is a wonderful local trail; Umcolcus Sporting Camps is a wonderful local campground.                  At Chandler Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 70's, and the night is a little chillier of course, usually in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Chandler Lake dip into the-10's.
