Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Shin Brook River, and Mt Chase Lodge & Country Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.       While you're here at Chamberlain Pond you can take a hike along the American Thread Company Road; camping is available at Shin Pond Village Campground. Hiking along the Snowshoe Lake Road is splendid fun, and lakes are such calm locations, why not stop by Batch Pond. Chamberlain Pond is a good spot of normal precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Through the summertime at Chamberlain Pond highs are regularly                  in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Chamberlain Pond.
