This lake is so wonderful. Eastbrook Campground is a pleasant campground nearby; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Narraguagus River - West Branch. So much entertaining stuff to do at Chalk Pond, so little time. If you come at the right time of year, Narraguagus River offers some pleasant whitewater; the Eagle Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. After a long day outdoors       Bar Harbor Inn is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and Chalk Pond is a wonderful location to visit for more than one day, Flanders Bay is a wonderful location to camp nearby. High temperatures at Chalk Pond throughout the summertime are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's.
