Going for a hike along the Eagle Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Bar Harbor Inn is a great spot to get some rest. Visit Bobcat Brook if you're here at Chalk Pond; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Narraguagus River - West Branch. So much cool stuff near Chalk Pond, truly phenomenal. Have a great hiking       adventure along the Lead Mountain Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Chalk Pond has to offer, you can camp at Flanders Bay. An average amount of rain falls at Chalk Pond; the month with most of the rain is November, and February is when it's the driest.
