Flints Brook is next to Chalk Pond and is always a delight to pop by; a day on the slopes of Shawnee Peak is just what you need. Looking for something right next door to Chalk Pond? Kneeland Pond is in the vicinity, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Albany Mountain Trail. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the White Mountains. Camping at Crocker Pond Campground is always a perfect experience, and       if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Albany Notch Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Papoose Pond Camping Resort is a nice location to do that; The Victoria Inn is a glorious site to get some rest. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Crooked River, and going for a hike along the Albany Brook Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
