Chain Ponds is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Enchanted Outfitters & Lodge is a brilliant local campground; there are other locations here than Chain Ponds, for example Little Berry Pond. All through the months of summer at Chain Ponds highs are generally in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Chain Ponds. Dry warm beds await you at

| | Bingham Motor Inn. It's always wonderful to have a look at Cold Stream Falls, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Alder Brook Trail. What a spot this is for outdoors people. You can run the rapids of Cold Stream in the neighborhood of Chain Ponds; lakes are such calm sites, why not visit Lone Jack Pond. The yearly rain here at Chain Ponds is about average; the month with most of the rain is July; February is the month with the least moisture. | |

This lake is so wonderful. Kennebec River is a magnificent whitewater spot in close proximity to Chain Ponds, and going for a hike on the Arnolds Trail is always a magnificent adventure. There's so much to do here at Chain Ponds
that you need to camp here for a while, Woody's Campground and Cottages is a pleasant spot for that; on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Sally Mountain Trail.
