This is a nice small pond just off of 302 but you can't hear any of the busy traffic. I'd recommend LOTS of bug sprays as the mosquitoes tend to swarm and are very plentiful this year. If you're not a fisherman but your children are...there are picnic tables for you to enjoy a book, needlepoint, or just relax and take in the fresh air.

A visit to Chaffin Pond is always a good idea. Man, is there lots of cool stuff to do near Chaffin Pond. Windham Way Motel is a brilliant location to get some rest; while you're here you ought to have a look at Brown Cove. Dry warm beds await you at Northeastern Motel, and why not camp at Highland Lake Park Camping and Cottages while you're here at Chaffin Pond. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Lost Valley.

| | forget Outlet Brook which is a stream that you may come across while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Chaffin Pond is wonderful fun, Kokatosi Campground is a wonderful local campground, and swamps don’t sound that good but Boody Meadow close to Chaffin Pond is rather good. Saco River is a nice whitewater spot near Chaffin Pond, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Portland-South Portland here.

golf at Frye Island Town Golf Course is always a pleasure, and you can run the rapids of Crooked River. For the period of the summertime months at Chaffin Pond highs are commonly in the 70's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in
the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 20's, and nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Chaffin Pond tend to be in the 0's. Little Sebago Lake Dam is worth taking a look at if you're here, and Freeman Hill
can be observed from Chaffin Pond.
Chaffin Pond is a wet place that gets lots of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
