During the warmest time of the year at Center Pond highs are regularly in the 70's, and the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, generally in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Center Pond overnight low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the-10's. Center Pond gets a common amount of yearly rain; July is when you get the most rain here; February       meanwhile is the driest month. Lakes are perfect; Spectacle Pond is a lake that's close to Center Pond, and Center Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Homestead Lodge is a perfect local campground. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Millinocket Stream. There's so much to do here at Center Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Umcolcus Sporting                  Camps is a pleasant place for that. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Center Mountain is easily distinguished from Center Pond; you can go for a hike on the Mooseleuk Tote Road. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Munsungan Stream, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Lost Pond. After a long day outdoors Katahdin Inn is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and there are great spots to look at along the Round Trail.
